Empowering Nurse Innovation | Review of Mengtai's 2nd Nurse Innovation Empowerment Salon

On November 17th, the nurse inventor teams from Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital visited Mengtai for exchange and participated in the 2nd "Nurse Innovation Empowerment Salon" hosted by Mengtai. Chen Renying, founder of Mengtai, Wu Haimei, Marketing Director, Huang Jiajun, Patent Project Manager, Huang Hao, Business Manager, and other team members warmly received the guests, engaging in in-depth discussions on clinical innovation and patent transformation.

At the beginning of the event, Business Manager Huang Hao briefly introduced Mengtai's development history, corporate culture, and product line layout to the nurse inventors. Through an accessible and in-depth presentation, the nurse inventors gained a preliminary understanding of Mengtai's corporate story and cooperation model, laying a solid foundation for subsequent in-depth exchanges.

Subsequently, Patent Project Manager Huang Jiajun provided a detailed overview of the cooperation process, advantages, value, and successful cases of nurse patent application and achievement transformation. Starting from practical cases, he vividly demonstrated Mengtai's professionalism and rich experience in the field of nurse patent transformation, offering the nurse inventors a clear path from creativity to product realization.

Accompanied by Chen Renying, founder of Mengtai, the nurse inventor team visited the Mengtai exhibition hall, where more than 100 clinically validated nursing aids were displayed on site. These innovative products derived from and designed for clinical practice aroused strong interest among the nurse inventors.

Huang Fangmei, Head Nurse of the Cardiology Department at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, showed great interest in the "Lantern Restraint Gloves" (transformed from the nursing innovation of Guangdong No.2 Provincial People's Hospital) and the independently developed "Transfer Belt" by Mengtai, and personally experienced the products on site. While affirming the practicality of the products, she also put forward valuable optimization suggestions based on her extensive clinical experience.

He Xifei, Head Nurse of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, highly praised the "Abdominal Positioning and Education Card for Subcutaneous Injection of Anticoagulants"—a nurse patent transformed by Mengtai from Dongguan No.8 People's Hospital. Chen Renying presented a set of the product to Nurse He for clinical trial use. Nurse He Xifei stated: "Nurses have many innovative ideas in clinical practice, and although the developed products seem simple, they are highly practical."

To more clearly demonstrate the specific process of Mengtai's nurse patent transformation, Chen Renying cordially invited the nurse inventor team to visit the nurse patent transformation and prototyping workshop. In the workshop, a variety of patented products undergoing the prototyping process were displayed in sequence, intuitively presenting the transformation process from creativity to physical products. This "visible and tangible" transformation model enabled the nurse inventors to gain a deeper understanding of the innovative model of medical-enterprise collaboration.

Both parties achieved fruitful results through this in-depth exchange. Mengtai gained a more in-depth understanding of clinical needs, while the nurse inventor teams obtained a more comprehensive understanding of achievement transformation and the medical-enterprise collaboration model.
