12 years ago, nurse Chen Renying certainly would not have thought that the Dongguan Mengtai Nursing Products Co., LTD., which she founded, would become the first high-tech enterprise in Dongguan and even Guangdong Province dedicated to the transformation of results for nurses, so that the products invented by nurses can be used by nurses and effectively help patients.
In the "world manufacturing city" Dongguan, Dongguan Mengtai Nursing Products Co., Ltd., located near Hongyuan Hotel, is unremarkable. However, in the past ten years, Chen Renying led the team to successfully transform more than 310 patent achievements for more than 190 hospitals and more than 260 nurses across the country.
Chen Renying was a senior nurse at Dongguan People's Hospital. In 2008, she was recommended by the then Guangdong Provincial Department of Health to study geriatric nursing in Hong Kong for one year. It was this year of study in Hong Kong that opened her eyes and ideas.
"When I studied in Hong Kong, I found that their caregivers are very creative, and many of the technologies they invented are very practical in geriatric care and other departments." That's when Chen began to notice that "nurses can be so creative."
After returning from Hong Kong, she showed some products invented by Hong Kong nurses to her fellow manufacturing workers and asked if they could make such products. After receiving a positive response, she tried to improve the design and make small batches for her daily nursing work.
More and more nurses came to her when they knew she had something practical and new. “And in addition to the growing demand, I found that our nurses also have their own inventions and creations, how to make these inventions and creations can be mass-produced, so that the needy can use them, is what I have been thinking about in those years.”
In 2013, Chen Renying made up her mind to resign from her nursing job and set up Dongguan Mengtai Nursing Products Co., Ltd. to transform the patent achievements of nurses. She said, "I knew that it was difficult to transform results, so I wanted to set up a company to help nurses and make it less difficult for them."
Today, Chen Renying led the team to develop and transform products, involving psychiatry, neurology, geriatrics, intensive care units, orthopedics, operating rooms, judicial organs, nursing homes, social welfare institutions, etc. Their products are close to the needs of clinical care, but also fill a number of gaps in the country.
Last year, Chen Renying and his team helped a nurse inventor at Karamay Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital to complete the first domestic "weighing ambulance stretcher car" put into production. This is very important for patients with myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction to take medication and be rescued as soon as possible.
There are millions of nurses across the country, and they will find ways to solve problems when they encounter problems in clinical care patients, but it is extremely difficult to realize the transformation of patents, which makes Chen Renying deeply feel that what he is doing is a major event that is conducive to the development of nursing and promotes the high-quality development of health care.
Shi Qinglian, honorary president of Dongguan Nursing Association, praised the work of Chen Renying and her team, and looked forward to Chen Renying's concept of "making patients more dignified and nursing easier", and Mengtai Nursing Industry-University-Research Service Platform to make greater contributions to the transformation of nurses across the country.
